Day three of Nigeria Fintech Week (NFW) truly capped off an eventful week for Remita and the Nigerian fintech space. Themed “Positioning Africa’s Fintech Ecosystem to Accelerate Inclusive Growth,” the day’s events were both inspiring and impactful for the Nigerian and broader African fintech communities.
We are thrilled to share that our Managing Director, ‘DeRemi Atanda, has been inaugurated as a member of the Nigeria Fintech Governing Council (GovCo). This milestone reflects not only his trailblazing leadership in the fintech space but also his profound contributions to the industry.
During his keynote address titled “From Financial to Economic Inclusion: The Fintech Ecosystem Connection,” Mr. Atanda spoke passionately about the need to broaden inclusion, both financially and economically, to drive true progress. His inauguration, alongside other distinguished dignitaries, highlights the importance of this council in shaping the future of fintech in Nigeria and guiding the strategic direction of the Fintech Association of Nigeria (FintechNGR).
The Fintech Association was established as a platform for innovation, growth, and the exchange of ideas within the fintech space. Its governing council plays a critical role in guiding its governance and future trajectory. Mr. Atanda’s appointment to the council is a testament to his remarkable expertise in payments technology and his visionary leadership.
